Ok girls, this doesn't but DOES have to do with the holiday fitness challenge! We are quickly outgrowing our space at K & Co. Dance studio during the week. The weekend class/classes will stay at K & Co!!! I have taken all of your email input and made thirteen phone calls to thirteen places in Claremore and notta one will work. I've heard everything from 'we don't rent our space' to 'we are booked every night' to super high prices, etc. And by super high, I MEAN super high prices! Please please please give me more ideas of where to turn!!! Schools are out of the question, they have a board clause that no one but a few leagues can rent from them...the skating rink, which was an awesome idea, wants $250 a night!!! Ahhhhhhhh! Again, I know that with the holiday fitness challenge, we are all trying to attend classes and bring new friends, BUT I want to have room for EVERYONE!!! HELP!!! =)

Hey girls...how about a double class on Thursdays at K & Co?
ReplyDeleteDouble class as in two different times??
ReplyDeleteHave you tried the Claremore Community Building? It says a three hour minimum but if you have it every week, maybe they won't require that. It's worth a try. The conference room is pretty good size. Here is the link http://www.claremorecity.com/index.aspx?NID=215
ReplyDeleteYes, the community center cannot provide steady nights. Like they said we could de Thursday classes in Dec., but not in Janurary!!! Lol. Thanks though!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, I mean like a 45 min class back to back with an hour class. Working on details. =)
Back to back on Thursdays sounds like a great idea!
ReplyDeleteyou might try the Verdigris United Methodist Church again. see if they have room.
ReplyDeleteVerdigris United Methodist Church was great for that one time, but there were only 50 women there and we were packed like sardines! Oh and plus dancing on carpet is bad bad bad for the knees!!! Eek!
ReplyDeleteI know that people do classes at verdigris elementary but what about up at the high school, the gym is a really good size, or even the middle school has a gym that's decent enough with a stage.. just some ideas..
