So far so good....share your stories!

Ok ladies,
So far so good for me!  I started at 166 and weighed in today (after dinner and with sneakers on!) at 163.6! Sweet!!!

Share how you are doing! Up, down, struggling, succeeding?  We can all help each other!!!

  1. Knowing I'd eventually have to weigh in kept me from gorging on Thanksgiving food too much! No clue on how much I weigh these days, but at least I didn't eat an ENTIRE chocolate pie! ;)

  2. I'm struggling. Been so busy that I haven't been able to eat properly. Been eating out a lot! Starting today I am back on the wagon. The thought of getting into a tight-fitting dress for my company Christmas party is going to keep me motivated....I hope.

  3. I'm dong pretty good! Walking for 30-40 minutes daily. Pulled my bag out today and kicked around on it for a while. Started on the 30 day shred yesterday!

  4. Shannon, you can do it! I know it's tough! That's why I had that nice healthy dinner before class yesterday (which killed my tummy!) because we usually just eat fast food after class!!! =(

Great work Missy!!!!! Sounds like fun, punching and kicking a bag!

  5. I'm doing ok. I'm trying to eat better and trying my best to make it to every Zumba class I can!!! I've not weighed myself... I don't want to! I can tell that I've not lost any weight. Someday I will though! Keep up the good work ladies!

  7. I'm just giving myself an E for effort! I'm trying, I haven't stepped on the scales, because I don't want to be discouraged. Since I have been working out since Aug till the start of the challenge and had not lost a pound. My health is better, I have had full blood work and was only 2pts over on the bad cholesterol. I used to have high triglycerides all the time, was very impressed they were down in the normal range. Been having many issues with my back mid and rt shoulder area, with a pesky rib that likes to be out of place, but working through it, will probably do some accupuncture later this month to try to stop the stab in the back pains.
I am at a loss as to why I am not losing. But, have worked many years to be healthy again after suffering through several years of sinus infections and 5 sinus surgeries. So, if all I get out of this is a stronger heart and lungs, and better blood work, so be it! I will keep working to improve my health.

Thank you Renee, for coming up with this idea and keeping us motivated! I appreciate all that you do.

  8. I don't know if I have lost any weight or anything but I have noticed that I am toning up quite a bit. My stomach is starting to get a lot flatter and I'm losing that little pudge that I have on my stomach.

I appriciate the motivation that this challenge has given me. It has been a blast so far!

  9. I think even if we don't lose weight, if we don't gain weight over the holidays we are doing good and especially if attend class more because of the challenge. I might be down 2 pounds and I am happy with any weight loss.

  10. Losing weight is difficult. It is for me anyway.... but I saw this the other day and thought this might help a little!

    Difficult is not impossible

Difficult is not the same as impossible. Indeed, the very fact that something is difficult confirms that it is possible.

Whatever is difficult to achieve, can be achieved. Whatever is difficult to reach, can be reached with effort, with time, with commitment and persistence.

Difficulty does not stand in the way of achievement. Difficulty in fact provides a path to that achievement.

In addition, difficulty gives real value to achievement. Those goals that are the most difficult and time-consuming to reach are also the most desirable and rewarding to reach.

Giving up because the task is too difficult is like quitting a job because you're being paid too much. When you're on to something that's difficult and demanding, you're on to something with great potential.

Be willing to embrace what is difficult. And you'll open your life to the best of what is possible.
